Scope

Planning, risk assessment, interim and year-end fieldwork, sampling of revenue, inventory, payables, and related-party disclosures, plus final opinion issuance.

  • Engagement letter and materiality memorandum
  • Walkthroughs of sales, purchasing, and payroll cycles
  • Substantive testing of significant balances
  • Going-concern and subsequent-events procedures
  • Draft and final auditor’s report with management letter

Not included

  • Bookkeeping or preparation of the financial statements themselves
  • Tax return preparation or tax controversy representation
  • Internal control attestation under separate frameworks unless agreed in writing

How the engagement proceeds

  1. Introductory call to confirm reporting framework and filing calendar
  2. Planning week: materiality, risk matrix, and document request list
  3. Interim fieldwork at your offices or designated accounting location
  4. Year-end testing and clearance of open points
  5. Exit meeting and delivery of the signed report

Timeline

Typically eight to fourteen weeks across interim and year-end phases, timed to your statutory filing date.

Where we work

Fieldwork in Chiba Prefecture and Greater Tokyo; remote document review for supporting schedules when appropriate.

What to prepare

Provide prior-year statements, chart of accounts, bank confirmations contact list, and access to general-ledger extracts.

Independence constraints

Independence rules apply; we decline engagements where prior consulting work would impair objectivity.

Fees

Fixed engagement fee quoted after planning, based on entity complexity, locations, and volume of transactions. From ¥1,800,000 per engagement year.
